In the month of April, a group of people dressed in boxes of “Sobradi” brand medications -in allusion to the hepatitis C treatment which has created controversy throughout the world, as well as in Spain, due to the high price-, marched around different areas of the centre of Madrid, disturbing the passage of people walking along the streets. It was a symbolic act to denounce the fact that the same medications that save lives can also be a barrier due to their high cost.
In Congress, No Es Sano representatives delivered a manifesto signed by more than twenty non-governmental organisations, professional associations and scientific-professional associations to political parties. The document demands the construction of an efficient and sustainable medical research system that guarantees affordable access to medication.
